Katie Barton

Katie is an experienced Gastroenterology Dietitian with over 10 years experience working in the NHS and private sector supporting patient with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Coeliac Disease.

Katie has lots of experience providing dietary advice for people with Inflammatory Bowel Disease both during remission and supporting with the use of enteral nutrition during times of disease flare up.

Katie provides dietary advice for people with Irritable Bowel Syndrome and has been involved in setting up dietetic services for the delivery of the low FODMAP diet in two NHS trusts.

Katie guest lectures at London Universities about Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Irritable Bowel Syndrome, is passionate about research in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and has published articles in this area. Alongside her clinical work Katie has been involved in helping to drive standards of care in Inflammatory Bowel Disease across the UK as the dietetic representative for IBD UK and has contributed various documents including the updated IBD Standards.
