Dr Adrian Brown

Dr. Brown is a NIHR Research Fellow (Specialist Dietitian/Lecturer) within the Centre of Obesity Research at University College London. His research interests centre around obesity, type II diabetes, bariatric surgery and the use of formula-based diets in a variety of different patient populations. His PhD investigated the role of formula low energy diets within obese type II diabetes patients treated with insulin.

Dr Brown qualified from Leeds Metropolitan University and furthered his studies with an MSc in Nutrition and Dietetics. He has specialised in weight management and bariatrics for the last 13 years. Dr Brown has spoken both nationally and internationally on dietary management of bariatric surgery, weight management and formula low energy diets, and is currently the Vice-Chair of the Specialist Obesity Group for the British Dietetic Association.
